Research & Development

EnergoSolar's R&D team consists of more than 20 scientists and dozens of engineers with experience in semiconductors, cryogenics, high- and ultra-vacuum devices, process engineering, design and manufacture of research equipment and purpose-built, industrial-scale equipment for the semiconductor and lighting industry.

The strong research and scientific background of EnergoSolar's staff has resulted in the development and commercialization of a amorphous silicon (aSi) thin-film PV manufacturing process and associated equipment that are in high demand due to their ability to produce solar modules with a superior cost/performance ratio.

The objective of EnergoSolar's R&D program is to improve the energy conversion efficiency of its current amorphous silicon (aSi) technology from 6% to 11-12%.
